About this role

Deepixel is looking for a Remote QA Engineer to join our distributed quality assurance and engineering team and help ensure the reliability, performance and quality of software products delivered to our clients.

This is a hands-on quality assurance role covering manual testing, API testing, regression testing, functional testing and automation.

You will work closely with developers, product teams, UI/UX specialists, DevOps engineers and clients to understand requirements, identify potential issues and ensure applications meet expected functional and technical standards.

The role is ideal for someone who combines strong attention to detail with a structured testing mindset and is interested in developing deeper skills in test automation and modern QA engineering.

You will have opportunities to work across web applications, APIs, enterprise platforms, cloud environments and AI-enabled applications.

Responsibilities

Review business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.

Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios and testing documentation.

Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke and exploratory testing.

Test responsive web applications across browsers and devices.

Validate APIs, request and response payloads, authentication and application integrations.

Perform database-level validation where required.

Identify, reproduce and document software defects clearly.

Work with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.

Perform regression testing before application releases.

Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions and QA reviews.

Validate UI implementations against approved designs and requirements.

Assist with defining acceptance criteria and testing strategies.

Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar technologies.

Contribute to continuous testing and CI/CD processes.

Monitor application quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Test third-party integrations and external services.

Support production validation and post-deployment testing.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers and other QA engineers across distributed teams.

Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage and testing standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Approximately 1–4 years of software testing or quality assurance experience.

Good understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.

Experience with functional, regression, integration, smoke and exploratory testing.

Ability to create clear test scenarios, test cases and testing documentation.

Experience identifying, documenting and tracking software defects.

Understanding of web application and API testing.

Experience with tools such as Postman or similar API-testing platforms.

Familiarity with browser developer tools.

Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.

Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub Issues or similar defect and project-management tools.

Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or another automation framework is preferred.

Basic understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or another programming language is an advantage.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum development environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage testing activities remotely.

Exposure to performance, security or AI application testing is an advantage.
