About this role
This is a hands-on development position with exposure to technical consulting and client engagement.
You will work closely with Deepixel's wider engineering, QA, DevOps, UI/UX and AI teams to develop and support technology solutions for clients.
The role is ideal for a developer who wants to strengthen their full stack engineering capabilities while gaining experience in client requirements, solution design, cloud technologies and AI-enabled applications.
We are looking for someone who is technically curious, willing to learn and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
You don't need to know every technology in our stack. What matters is having solid development fundamentals, a problem-solving mindset and the ability to learn quickly.
As Deepixel's Canadian operation grows, this position will provide opportunities to take on greater technical responsibility and increased exposure to clients and solution design.

Responsibilities
Develop, test and maintain modern web applications.
Build responsive front-end applications using React and related technologies.
Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
Work with Laravel/PHP, Node.js and/or Java Spring Boot applications.
Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL Server databases.
Troubleshoot application, API, database and integration issues.
Participate in requirements gathering and technical discussions.
Translate business requirements into development tasks.
Build prototypes, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
Participate in client meetings alongside senior team members when required.
Support application deployments and production troubleshooting.
Work with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
Use Git/GitHub and follow established development practices.
Collaborate with Deepixel's distributed development, QA, DevOps, UI/UX and AI teams.
Maintain appropriate technical and application documentation.
Requirements
Approximately 1–3 years of software development experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Good understanding of full stack application development.
Experience with modern web development.
Understanding of APIs and relational databases.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work effectively with distributed teams.
Interest in developing client-facing and technical consulting skills.
Technical Skills
Frontend: React, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5 / CSS3, REST API integration and responsive web development.
Backend: Laravel / PHP, Node.js, Java Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, SQL and relational database fundamentals.
Cloud & Development Tools: Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, Git / GitHub, Docker and basic CI/CD concepts.
Strong experience in every backend technology is not required. We are more interested in strong development fundamentals and the ability to learn.
Exposure to AI development is an advantage but not mandatory. Candidates will have opportunities to work with AI-enabled solutions.
